The tour

Feels like a streaming service. It’s your library.

  1. 01

A Home that feels like a cinema

A full-screen billboard follows your focus, Continue Watching sits up front, and your pinned Plex rows glide in as you move.

  2. 02

    Title pages with presence

Clear logos, artwork tint, Resume or Start over, versions, audio and subtitle chips, trailers, extras and Top Cast.

  3. 03

    Seasons and episodes, sorted

Episode rails with airdates, what will play next, and the exact audio and subtitles you picked for that show.

  4. 04

    Search built for a remote

A D-pad keyboard that keeps up, instant results across your servers, and your Watchlist one press away.

  5. 05

    Browse every library

Filters, collections, studios and an A–Z rail. Open an actor to see everything they’re in on your server.

Features

Everything the sofa actually needs.

Remote-first on Android TV and Shield. Sign in with the Plex account that already owns your libraries. Nothing else to set up.

Direct Play, the way the file was made.

Native ExoPlayer. Plays the original file, keeps HDR when the display can, and falls back to HLS only when a TV can’t bitstream TrueHD or DTS.

Who’s watching?

Plex Home profiles and PINs on launch. Switch people without signing out, and everyone keeps their own Continue Watching.

Built for the remote

Leanback on Shield and Android TV boxes. D-pad rows, a TV clock, a search keyboard and focus that stays where you left it.

Make Home yours

Heart the libraries you want on Home, reorder the sidebar, hide watched titles and sort Continue Watching your way.

Skip intro & credits

Off, on-screen prompt or automatic. Autoplay the next episode, or get a gentle “Still watching?” after a run.

Long-press OK for the stats overlay. Everything else is one press away.

  • Speed
  • Zoom

Watch Together

Share a room code from Settings and friends sync playback on the same library. The media never leaves your server.

Screensaver

After idle, art drifts from Continue Watching, Watchlist, recents, unwatched or random. The nav hides until a key wakes it.

Libraries & music

Browse A–Z, collections and studios. Artists, albums and tracks play through the same player with a now-playing chip.

Watchlist & playlists

Add titles from any title page. Home can show Watchlist, playlists and Because You Watched, or turn those rows off.

People & studios

Open an actor to see what they have on this server, or browse a studio plate and play from there.

Work in progress
